Where it goes wrong
The second haul nobody planned for
The most expensive dumpster mistake is booking one size too small. The kitchen comes out, then the flooring goes too, and the box is full with half the job left. A second haul costs more than the bigger box would have.
The other mistake is heavy material in a big box. A 20 filled with concrete is too heavy for the truck to lift, and half of it has to come back out by hand. Tell us what’s going in and where the box will sit, and we’ll send the size that gets it all out in one trip.

A weekend costs less than a month. Give us the dates you expect and we’ll price for those.
Where it has to go
A clear driveway is simple. Street placement, a tight alley or a permit takes more time, and that shows in the price.
Delivery, pickup and the landfill fee are all in the price we quote. If the job finishes early, tell us and we’ll pick it up early.

How much does a dumpster rental cost in Kansas City?

What size do I need?
A 10 for a single room or anything heavy, a 15 for a roof tear-off, a 20 for a whole-house remodel and a 30 for new construction or demolition. Describe the job on the form and we’ll size it for you. If you’re unsure, go bigger, because a second haul costs more than the next size up.
What can’t go in it?
Anything hazardous. That means paint, solvents, motor oil, batteries, tires, asbestos and anything with refrigerant in it. If you’re not sure about something, ask before it goes in the box.
Will it wreck my driveway?
Roll-off delivery is designed to be driveway-safe, and we’ll put boards under the rails if you ask. Tell us the surface when you book, because new asphalt in summer needs more care than old concrete.
Do I need a permit?
On your own driveway, usually not. On a public street, many cities want one. Check with your local public works office before delivery day so it doesn’t hold up the job.
How long can I keep it?
As long as the job takes. Give us the dates you expect and we’ll set the pickup for then. If the work runs long, let us know and we’ll move it.
What is a roll-off dumpster?
It’s the open-top container a truck rolls off onto your driveway or site, then winches back up when it’s full. Every size we rent, 10, 15, 20 and 30 yard, is a roll-off.
Can I put concrete or dirt in a dumpster?
Yes, but tell us before delivery. Concrete, dirt and brick are heavy enough to hit the weight limit long before the box looks full, so they usually go in a 10 yard. Say what’s going in on the form and we’ll send the right container.
